Something motivational

Today, I went to an event which I had learnt a lot of things for free and also do something I am interested which is photography. This event had a motivational speaker who is a friend of my facilitator which gave me this opportunity to help him in this event. The speaker is a psychologist who is none other then Dr Billy Kueek. And my facilitator who is also none other then Jensen Siaw. Giving me this chance to be like a professional photographer and help him.

Anyway, what I had learnt and just sharing to you; and some questions that you can ask yourself:
- SW, SW, SW [Some will, some won’t, so what?!]
This is something many may have heard before, but who will really put it in action? Which I don’t think I had, but will want to do it to my best as I go on in my life. Don’t take things too hard on ourselves.

- you control your own feelings
This is something that I really have to learn and do it. When a person does something to you, be it good or bad, it’s a present for you, you can choose to keep it; throw it away; or rewrap it and give to others. When someone hurt you once, and if you think about it more, it will hurt you even more times. And this is stupid! Which I am scolding myself too! For this whole of my life till this age, this is something that really struck me. As I had been taking people’s comments and critism too seriously that it hurts my heart repeatly although the person who hurt me only hurt me once.

(This entry might be very long for you to read, but for those who is interested can continue reading to find something inspiring out of it? =D)

- Everything that happened to your life have a reason
Things that happened to you can be good or bad, but it is totally up to you and me to make full use of it, or just ponder around it and forget about it.

- Everything has a price to pay
We are not talking about paying money to something, but are something that we might have to get hurt to learn a mistake? Or something likes that. Some times, people have to pay money and feel the hurt to spend so much then they will learn something.

- Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy
This story heard from Dr Billy (may not be exactly what he said): “One day, a bird is flying off for the change of season. It flew and flew till one point it was too cold that it froze and dropped down to the ground. And the bird did not do anything and was just waiting to die anyway. Until after a few days, the bird felt something warm around him. It was actually a cow that had just shitted on him that made him warm again; and saved him.” So when you read this story, we have to think that not everyone who is shitty is someone bad.

- Two questions that you should ask yourself to have a better life or being able to strive for the better:
- What is the value of money to you?
- What is success in your heart?

One thing that I would like to share to photographers reading this especially to newbie. I had learnt something is that some of us when covering for events, we might feel that we are very “big” and might block others, but we shouldn’t be afraid and that we should go up and capture whatever a photo needs to be nice. But do it in an appropriate manner and at the right time. =D

I don’t want to write so much also, that’s all! Every event I go especially on Jensen's event which I don't know why; I will always have some very good knowledge being brought home other than the expriences that I am getting.
