the day i have a break through

Whao! Had a great day today! I was marshalling at the Subaru Action Asia Challenge! So great! Got to know a new friend, so coincidently, we live very near each other; our secondary school combined! It was a sunny day. The competitors were great. The marathon started at about 6am in the morning and they have to go through the “forest” in the dark. The volunteers that must reach there at about 4am in the morning to prepare the stuffs. They are all tracking in the dark with only head lights on. Lucky i am not one of them. The first team came very fast! Our area is at marina bay, I was supposed to get the competitors down for the second swim but it was cancelled. So sad! The competitors are all in groups of 2, some were even couples; they came from all over Asia and also some locals. But I did my part in guiding them the route to go. One of them even tricked me and made my hands wet with his gloves. But I gave a “thanks” in return. Weird me. But he’s a great guy! The obstacles that was set was real challenging, at our swim segment, they have to swim against the current. Some were tired and took a rest; and i think that is why the organiser cancelled the 2nd swim.

The organizer, though he is a foreigner, he knows Singapore quite well that some route that I have never been before, his name is also very cool, Michael Maddness. Everything is so tough, but nice to watch! They also have to have a jump down the Benjamin Shears Bridge and canon and back and another jump and run to the sea sports club and paddle with their hands on a surf board to the Kallang stadium area. The coolest thing is that 3 of us girls walked from our area to the Kallang stadium without stopping! Can you imagine? Especially me! I always dont like to walk walk and walk one… it was fun, we encourage some of the competitors on the way. I really pei fu them with such stamina. Eirk, our area commander kept mentioning that it is a crazy race the day before when we all walked through our area’s route which is about 3km. Where the girls can even walk faster than the guys. What a bunch of guys! LOL!

The whole event was fun and great! I love it. I love my new colour too. Haha… I really want to join these type of event again! Though I dont know much about sports, I can learn still. The coolest thing i had was the mark on my face from the sunglass after the long hours of sun. I think i love my tanned body now! I love the complaxion!! Yeah! Everything was great! Time to rest now!
